In the fall of 2010, Nigel successfully staged (in the pouring rain) the biggest illusion in Canadian history and one of the largest illusions ever performed in North America by vanishing an 800 passenger cruise ship and its occupants (surpassing David Copperfield's vanishing train car or jet airplane illusion). Its was all caught on film and can be viewed here on Nigel's Youtube channel.
If you are a theme park, cruise line, resort, casino, or other major organization, Nigel continues to offer his original brand of classic-edge magic to suit these types of venues. If you are interested in booking Nigel for a show, a string of performances, or a PR stunt, please send inquiries through to the office at info@nigelharrison.ca. We will do our best to accommodate and we appreciate the consideration.
Canadian Illusionist Nigel Harrison makes a 371 tonne cruise ship disappear. The biggest illusion ever staged in Canada.

For the last 15 years, Nigel Harrison has been making his mark in the world of entertainment as one of the most talented magicians in Canadian history. The level of professionalism in his technique combined with his superb ability to connect with the audience gives reason as to why he is considered Canada's Rising Superstar of Magic....

Nigel Harrison has done a pretty good job at “flying under the radar” in the
world of entertainment. Over the last 15 years, he has been quietly honing his
skills as a world-class illusionist, staging live performances for various
national and international companies, cruise lines, and select private functions.
Often jokingly referred to as the “anti-magician” magician, Nigel tends to keep
his magic to himself rather than mix with others within the same industry. A bit eccentric, perhaps, but a consummate professional who is striving to break from the stereotype that magicians often face, to become a unique performer with the highest standards of professionalism in business, entertainment, and creativity. This has become evident in his current projects and has drawn attention from key industry professionals who are graciously assisting Nigel along his journey to become
Canada’s biggest name in magic.
Nigel is breaking onto the world-stage in style. In October of 2010 he
produced his first major film/live stage production titled “The Vanish”. In
it he performed the biggest illusion ever staged in Canadian history….
causing a 371 tonne, 110 foot cruise ship to disappear from the banks
of the St. Lawrence River in the world-famous Thousand Islands. An
illusion of this size had never been attempted in Canada so this was
a huge undertaking for the young performer. A crew of over 40
people was assembled to stage this history-making event which
not only included the vanish of the ship but also a full outdoor stage
production featuring several of Nigel’s signature routines. The
entire two days were captured on film and televised on Nigel’s
website on December 10, 2010 in a ground-breaking
webcast. This was also a unique achievement, making Nigel
the first illusionist to ever produce a full- length magic special
to be broadcast online.
"My goal is to bring the "romance" back to magic. I really want to
be able to entertain my audiences through amazing magic while
throwing-in some subtle humour. It's a classic form of
performance enhanced with new technologies to produce
some really entertaining bits. It's innocent".
Directly on the heals of “The Vanish”, Nigel is currently in
pre-production for his second project titled “Buried Alive”.
The mandate moving forward is to produce annual specials,
featuring all new illusions, with filming taking place in
different locations across the country, showcasing the
beauty and wonders that Canada has to offer.
